Interacting with dashboards

Notifications and suggestions allow you to stay informed and take action on important business situations when they arise.

Setting alerts
As a dashboard owner, when creating Period KPI charts, you can actively monitor your business data by setting and editing alerts. An alert is a notification that you receive when your business data reaches, surpasses, or does not reach a business threshold. Alarms can be sent to a predefined Kafka topic whenever a new alert is detected. The Kafka topic can be then consumed, for example to process or forward the alerts.
Defining targets
You can add targets to KPI charts and period KPI charts. Targets help you measure and assess goal achievement.
Finding goals and dashboards
As your business monitoring activity grows, your lists of dashboards and of goals eventually spread over several pages. Use the search field to find them quickly.
Filtering the dashboard list by monitoring source
You can filter the dashboard list based on the monitoring sources that the dashboards use. This helps you quickly locate dashboards that display particular data sets. You can filter by native or system-defined monitoring sources, as well as user-defined monitoring sources.
Changing the monitoring source in several charts
You can simultaneously change the monitoring source of several charts in the same dashboard.
Creating dashboard filters on charts
Dashboard filters help you explore data more efficiently by applying filters across multiple charts simultaneously.
