From the Filters or the Filters and
predictions tab, refine your data selection. Filters allow you to select a subset of
data that you want to focus on, or to exclude data. A time range can already be set at the dashboard
level but you can also set a specific time range only for a chart.
Procedure
- In your chart editor, go to the Filter or
Filters and Predictions tab
-
Select Filters:
- Click on the + next to Filters
- From Data Item, select the data item that you want to focus on
- Choose the operator you need
- Set the value:
- For items of type keyword or date with the operator =, !=, is in or is
not in, you can write a custom value or select a value from the existing ones in the dropdown.
Also, empty values and special characters are allowed.
- For is in and is not in operators, click the + or - to add or remove a value.
- The preview on the right side is updated with this Filter
- (Optional) Click again on the + next to Filters to add another filter. Filters
are combined with the AND operator.
- (Optional) To remove a filter, click the trash icon at the end of the respective
line.
- Set a Time Range
- In the Time range section, check the "Override the dashboard time range in this chart"
checkbox.
- You have different options to set the range
- Fixed date. Pick a start date and time, and an end date and time. Your timezone will be
automatically accommodated.
- By choosing Sliding date, you will be able to select a dynamic date range.
- No range. If you select this option, no time range will be applied for this chart even if your
dashboard is configured with a time range.
- The shortcuts helps you filling automatically the time range with the last 7, 30 or 365 days for
instance.
- (For period Metrics and period KPI only) You can activate and configure the predictions
feature. See Enabling
predictions.
