Associating teams and monitoring sources

As a user with the Manage data access Zen permission, you can grant and restrict team access to chart business data by associating teams with relevant monitoring sources.

Before you begin

Make sure that you are granted the appropriate role by reading Getting authorized to manage data permissions.

Procedure

Go to the Data permissions tab:
Select Set data permissions.
The Set data permissions dialog opens.
Assign data permissions, according to the tab you are in:
- From the Teams tab, select a team and the monitoring sources you want the team to be able to access.
- From the Sources tab, select a monitoring source and the teams you want to be able to access the monitoring source.
The drop-down menu filters the teams or the monitoring sources by displaying only the teams or monitoring sources that are not yet assigned.
Click Set permissions to save data permissions to the team.

Results

The team can now view and interact with the data that is relevant to its roles.

After you set data permissions for all the available teams, the Set data permissions button is disabled in the Teams tab. Similarly, if you assign all of the available monitoring sources, the Set data permissions button is disabled from the Sources tab.

You can edit or delete data permissions by selecting the overflow menu "overflow menu" of a team or monitoring source.

Tip: If you encounter an error when you set or delete a permission by source, try setting or deleting the same permission by team.
