Hiding inaccessible content
You can hide locked items when browsing content in Analytics Content Hub.
When the discoverable search feature is enabled, objects with a locked icon might appear. The icon means that you do not have access to these items.
Too many inaccessible objects might negatively impact the user experience. To avoid that, you can choose from two options that suppress locked items from the users' view:
- Hidden when browsing
- Allow user to toggle visibility
If you select the Hidden when browsing option, the users can't see the locked objects at all. This option is convenient when your application is aimed at an audience that needs access only to reports that they work on. The Allow user to toggle visibility option is applicable when users need to be able to request access to the locked objects, but might also want to hide them for content browsing.
