Adding Qlik Sense connection settings

Learn how to add Qlik Sense connection settings.

Procedure

  1. Launch Analytics Content Hub and log in with an admin account.
  2. Click your avatar (your initials on the top right).
  3. Select Manage Analytics Content Hub.
  4. Select Make connections to add content.
  5. Select Qlik Sense.
  6. Enter a name for the connector, for example, Qlik Sense.
  7. For the Authentication Method, select either Qlik Sense User Pass or Qlik Sense SSO, based on which kind of authentication your Qlik Server uses.
    • If you use Qlik Sense User Pass, in the System Credentials section, enter the User Name, Password, and Namespace information.
    • If your server is using Qlik Sense SSO, in the System Credentials section, enter the User Name and Namespace information.
    Note: The namespace is the User directory in QMC.
  8. For Your Account, enter a valid user account to finish the configuration. If you have a Qlik Sense account, select a different account and then enter the username, password and namespace.
  9. For Server Information > Server Type, select Qlik Sense Server and for Base URL, enter the fully qualified name of the Qlik Server.
  10. For the Properties section, modify any information that is not correct, for example, if you use different ports. You must enter the Certificate Folder, Root Certificate Pass, Client Certificate Pass and Default Namespace.
  11. Add Qlik Sense content that you want to access in Analytics Content Hub.
    Tip: Optionally, you can create folders for each connector and then add content to them.
  12. Click the icon to add a new folder.
  13. Give the folder a name, for example, Qlik Sense.
  14. Click CREATE FOLDER.
  15. Click the Qlik Sense folder.

    You can now see all the content that you can expose. You can drag the folders that you want to make available in Analytics Content Hub to the Qlik Sense folder that you created. Alternatively, you can make everything available by dragging everything to the Qlik Sense folder.

  16. Click Done when you are finished.

Results

You can now display your Qlik Sense content.
