Creating rules based on custom fields

You can create rules that define which metadata values show up in the UI.

Procedure

  1. Create a custom field.

    For more information, see Creating custom metadata fields.

  2. Click the Settings icon to open the extra options dialog window.
  3. Enable the advanced mode by toggling the Advanced switch.
  4. Edit the Show when and Condition options to specify rules when the value is visible.
  5. Click the Save icon to preserve the changes.
  6. If you need an extra level of detail, you can create more custom fields and adjust their hierarchy.
