Preventing pages from loading on each view

You can configure IBM Analytics Content Hub to run visualizations only when you load a page for the first time, and then preserve them for subsequent views.

The page stays loaded in the memory only if the user stays on the same project. If the user opens a different project and then comes back, the page reloads.

Procedure

  1. Open the IBM Analytics Content Hub Designer and click the Properties panel.
  2. Click the Page Selector icon and select the page that you need from the drop-down list.
  3. Scroll down the Properties panel and click the Performance tab to expand it.
  4. Enable the Keep page loaded option.
  5. Click Save to preserve the changes.
Warning: Consider preserving the view only for pages that contain many embedded visualizations that take time to render. Enabling this option uses much browser memory, which might cause an issue for some users.
