Saving your file as a CSV File
Procedure
To save your file as a CSV file, do the following steps:
- Select File > Save as. Choose the appropriate folder on your local hard drive.
- Type the file name.
- From the Save as type list, select one of the following
options:
- For Windows operating systems, select CSV (comma Delimited) (*.csv)
- For Macintosh operating systems, select CSV (windows) (*.csv)
- Click Save. A Microsoft Excel dialog box appears regarding Excel not supporting workbooks that contain multiple sheets.
- Click OK to save the active worksheet. Another Microsoft Excel dialog box appears stating that your file might contain features that are not compatible with CSV (Comma delimited).
- Click Yes to keep the format that leaves out any incompatible features.
