Adding trading partner connections

A company administrator (admin) or can add or edit a private connection with the company's trading partner.

About this task

Your connection might require to follow protocols other than API or HTTPS.

Procedure

  1. From the side navigation menu, select Trading partner resources > Connections. Then, click Add connection.
  2. On the New trading partner connection window, choose Create a new private connection with the trading partner.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select a trading partner type. The following options are available:
    • Partner company is a shared trading partner company that exists within the partner repository of B2Bi SaaS. You can interact with this company by adding it as your trading partner association.
    • Partner business is a trading partner that is created and owned by your company and is visible only within your company. Any resource that you create within this business is visible only to you.
    If you do not see your trading partner association in the list, contact your administrator.
  5. Select a trading partner from the drop down.
  6. From the following options, select the type of connection protocol that you want to set up: API and HTTPS.
  7. Select the direction of connection. To receive data by creating an outbound connection, selectreceiving data. Alternatively, to send data by creating an inbound connection, select sending data.
  8. Optional: If the flow for the connection must be a hybrid one, select the Hybrid connection checkbox.
  9. If you select sending data in the previous step, skip to the next step. If you select receiving data, decide who initiates the receiving data connection. To choose to receive data from B2Bi SaaSB2Bi SaaS Hub, choose (Pull) <IBM> will pull data from <Your company name> server. Alternatively, choose (Push) <IBM> will push data to <Your company name> to the server.
    The Push and Pull options display only if you clear the selection for the Hybrid connection checkbox.
  10. Enter the description for the connection that you set up using the Connection description (optional).
  11. Select Create connection to save the settings for the connection.
  12. For Sending data:

  13. For Receiving data:
