Uploading changed maps

When you check out a map and edit it using the map editor, you can upload the changes in Configuration Hub.

Warning:

When you upload a map, do not include personally identifiable information (PII) in the change description, and do not introduce new PII in the source of the map.

Before you begin

Before you upload your revised map, you must successfully complete a transformation test in the map editor. If your map has process data requirements, select that appropriate process data values input file in the Select process data input file card.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Map details page of the map that you want to upload changes to. Map changes are uploaded in the Upload modified map card.
  2. Select the source map. The supported file extension for the source map is .mxl.
Important: If the source map uses the .map file extension, use the map editor tool to save the map with the .mxl file extension before you upload the map through the user interface. Also, maps with user exits are not supported.
  3. Select the compiled map. The supported compiled map file extension is .txo.
Important: The file name of the source map and the compiled map must be the same as the map name. The name of the map must not be changed after it is checked out.
  4. Select an input file to use during transformation validation in IBM Sterling B2B Integration SaaS.
  5. In the Change description field, describe the changes that you made to the map.
  6. Click Upload to upload your source map, compiled map, and input file to Configuration Hub.

What to do next

If you need to make more changes to the map later, you can return to the Upload modified map card and click Upload new files.
Tip: If you check out a map and upload changes, but do not want to update it later, you can revert the changes. This scenario does not occur often. For more information, see Reverting map or code list changes.

Before you can deploy the map to CTE, you need to successfully complete a transformation test in the map editor. You also need to upload the source map, compiled map, and input file, and provide a description of the changes that you made.
