Running transformation tests in the map editor

Before you upload your map changes to Configuration Hub, you must successfully complete a transformation test in the map editor.

Before you begin

Ensure that you checked out the map from Configuration Hub.

In the map editor, you can make your changes to the map and then compile it. You must also run your own transformation test in the map editor to ensure that your changes work correctly. You can then take the files you were working with in the map editor and follow the guided process to upload them to Configuration Hub, and ultimately promote your changes to production.

Procedure

  1. In the map editor, open a map and then select Functions > SPE Remote Map Test to display SPE Remote Map Test.
  2. In Login Server and dashboard port, type the server and port.
    • For North American users, type confighub.b2b.ibm.com:443
    • For European Union users, type confighub-eu.b2b.ibm.com:443
  3. Ensure that Use SSL is selected.
  4. In Login Server User Name, type your IBMid.
  5. In and Login Server User Password, type your Authentication key from your My account page.
Tip: The Login Server and dashboard port, Use SSL checkbox, and Login Server User Name must be configured only one time, but you must enter your Login Server User Password every session.
  6. In Translation Object, browse and select the compiled .txo file for your map.
  7. In Data File, browse and select an input file to use during the test.
  8. Click Run Test to run the transformation test.
