Deploying maps to production

After the completion of the map production readiness review (if the review is needed), when the map is in Approved status, you can deploy the map to production.

Before you begin

Make sure that the production readiness review for the map (if needed) is complete and the map is in Approved status.

Procedure

  1. From the side navigation menu, select Company resources > Mappings. Then, go to the Map details page for the map that you want to deploy.
  2. On the Deploy to production card, provide information about the deployment of this map to production in Production deployment comments.
    Important: The Production deployment comments for a map must include a successful Process ID from InFlight, in which the map was used in a successful end-to-end test in the Customer Test Environment (CTE).
  3. Click Deploy to production.
    You cannot edit the map while it is deploying.
  4. Wait for the deployment process to complete and make sure that the deployment status is successful.
    Important: The user interface updates you on the status of the deployment. Do not exit the page until the user interface notifies you that you can.
    • If the deployment is successful, the check out of the map is released and the map is marked as live in production.
    • If the deployment fails, refer to the on-screen error information.
    • If a connectivity issue occurred, try the deployment again.
