Uploading a changed code list

When you check out a code list and edit it, you can upload the modified code list in Configuration Hub.

Warning:

When you upload a code list, do not include personally identifiable information (PII) in the change description.

Before you begin

Before you upload your revised code list, you must check out the code list and edit the code list CSV file. For more information, see Editing a code list.
Important: The file name of the code list must not change after you checked it out.

Procedure

  1. From the side navigation menu, select Company resources > Code lists. Then, on the Code list details page of the code list for which you want to upload changes.
    Code list changes are uploaded in the Modified code list page on the Upload modified code list card.
  2. Click Select and select the modified code list and click Open. The supported source code list file extensions are .csv and .xml.
  3. In Change description, describe the changes that you made to the code list.
  4. Click Upload to upload the modified code list to Configuration Hub.

What to do next

If you need to make more changes to the code list later, you can return to the Upload modified code list card and click Upload modified code list to repeat this procedure.
Tip: If you check out a code list and upload changes to it, but then determine that you no longer want to update it, you can revert the changes. This scenario does not occur often. For more information, see Reverting map or code list changes.

After you successfully upload the updated code list, you can deploy the code list to CTE.
