Finding and downloading a code list
You can use the information in this section to search for and download code lists.
About this task
The instructions in this section are useful when you are searching for or downloading a code list to either add or edit values in it.
The Checked out tab displays all code lists that are
currently checked out. The Locked tab displays all code lists that are
currently locked. Click Filter on the Checked out or
Locked tab to further filter the code lists held by users or business
alias.
Tip: Company user (user) or
company administrator (admin) role users can filter by any user (from
their company) that holds a lock or check-out for a code list. If IBM Support holds
a lock or check-out, these users can also filter by IBM Services. Only IBM
support user (support) and IBM system user (sys
admin) roles can view and filter by the IBM Support names.
You can download the most recent code lists, regardless of the status of the code list.
- From the side navigation menu, select . Then, on the Code lists page, select a code list to view its details, including previous versions. The Production tab is displayed by default, showing the current code list that is deployed in production and all other versions of the same code list that were created for production.
- On the Code list details page, click the CTE tab to view all code list versions that were created for the CTE environment.
- Select the version of the code list that you want to view.
- In Code list assets, click Production code list CSV
file to automatically download the code list that is in production to your default
folder. Click CTE code list CSV file to automatically download the code list
that is in CTE to your default folder. Code lists are downloaded in CSV file format.Tip: If no CTE code list CSV file is displayed for a code list version, that indicates that the code list version was checked out but not uploaded to CTE. If no Production code list CSV file is displayed for a code list version, that indicates that the code list version was not deployed to production.
After you download the CSV file, use a text editor or spreadsheet tool to open and edit it.
For more information, see Editing a code list.
Important: After you complete your work with the code list, be sure to
clean up any data from your local system, as you normally would when you work with a code
list.
The search feature in Configuration Hub helps you to narrow down your search results. Use the Search function to filter display results. The search is not case-sensitive, and you can enter any part of the code list name. You can also sort the code lists by clicking the column headers.
