Adding push connections to receive data

A company administrator (admin) or IBM Support can set up a connection for your company or the trading partner to push data to Configuration Hub. You can set up a private or a public connection to receive data.

About this task

A company administrator (admin) or IBM Support can add a connection by selecting Company resources > Connections from the navigation menu.
Tip: A private connection is a connection that is only visible for you and the trading partner. Whereas a public connection is visible to your trading partner and its associates within IBM Sterling B2B Integration SaaS. However, only you, as the connection creator, can change the configuration.

Procedure

  1. From the side navigation menu, select Company resources > Connections. Then, on the Connections list page, select New connection.
  2. On the New connections window, select the type of connection you want to set up by using the Protocol drop-down.
  3. Input the name of the connection you need to set up in Connection name.
  4. Select the type of business alias from CTE business alias and its corresponding Production business alias displays automatically.
  5. If the flow for the connection follows protocols other than API, select the Hybrid connection checkbox. If you leave this checkbox cleared, the connection protocol is set to API.
  6. For a connection from your company to receive data (an outbound connection), select Receiving data.
  7. Decide who initiates the connection to receive the data. To receive the data from Configuration Hub, choose (Push) B2Bi SaaS will connect to <Your company name> to deliver the data if you want Configuration Hub to push data.
  8. Choose either Public or Private, based on the connection that you might want to set up.
  9. Enter the description about the connection that you are about to set up in Connection description (optional).
  10. Select Create connection to save the settings for the outbound connection.
