Adding system (keystore) certificates

Irrespective of your role, you can upload a system (also called a keystore) certificate.

About this task

Refer to this procedure if you selected System certificate in the Add certificate window.

Procedure

  1. On the CTE configurations window, select a certificate to upload it.
The application supports system certificates of only the PKCS12 format.
  2. Input a keystore password.
The application uses it to access the content of the uploaded system certificate file (keystore).
Your password contains 15 to 20 alphanumeric characters and at least one of the following special characters: !@#$%^&*.
  3. Optional: Input a private key password.
  4. Optional: Provide a description.
  5. Click Upload.
Your SSL certificate must conform to an approved algorithm. For more information, see Approved algorithms for SSL certificates.
  6. Click Deploy to CTE.
  7. If you have tested your system certificate on a system, select the Did you test your certificate checkbox.
  8. Optional: If you are uploading a system certificate of the variant type, repeat steps 1 - 6 to upload a system certificate in production.
  9. To deploy the system certificate to the production environment, click Deploy to production.
After the system certificate is deployed to production, the application displays the SSL certificates list page.

What to do next

You can click the Action options menu to access the Show usage window. The window displays in tabular format a list of outbound connections that have access to the system certificate, along with the information about their protocols and versions.

You can click an SSL certificate to access its details. For more information, see Viewing SSL certificate details.
