Applying an interim fix to a single node on Windows
A single node includes one to four members (catalog, container, informational, operational). Use this procedure for stand-alone upgrades.
Before you begin
- Access the media package of files that includes the IBM® installation launchpad.
Use the IBM installation launchpad, IBM Installation Manager, and commands to upgrade a single node of B2B Advanced Communications on Windows.
- Before you run the Installation Manager, it must be configured
with a repository file. IBM recommends
that you run the Installation Manager by first starting the launchpad.
The launchpad automatically configures the Installation Manager with
the repository file that is required for the upgrade.
However, if you have access only to a console and not a Windows interface, you can upgrade from a stand-alone installation of the Installation Manager. For information about manually configuring the Installation Manager with a repository file, see Adding a repository file to the Installation Manager.
About this task
- The upgrade documentation might be subject to change. Refer to the documentation that accompanied the interim fix for the latest upgrade procedure.
- This upgrade requires an outage of B2B Advanced Communications, so it does not support high availability.
Enter all commands from the install_dir\Members\bin directory.
If you need to roll back the upgrade, see Rolling back an upgrade in Windows.
