Install EBICS Server Module Manually

The IBM Installation Manager installs the EBICS Server module automatically if you select the Financial Services Module option either when you install Sterling B2B Integrator or upgrade from a previous version of Sterling B2B Integrator.

You must have installed Sterling B2B Integrator.

You must manually install the EBICS Server module if one of the following criteria is met:
  • You did not select the Financial Services Module option from the Installation Manager when installing the latest version of Sterling B2B Integrator.
  • You did not select the Financial Services Module option from the Installation Manager when upgrading from a previous version of Sterling B2B Integrator to the latest version of Sterling B2B Integrator.
  • You want to apply the latest version of Sterling B2B Integrator as a patch to the previous version of Sterling B2B Integrator.
To manually install the EBICS Server module, complete the following steps after installing or upgrading to the latest version of Sterling B2B Integrator:
Note: If you are installing the EBICS Server module in a clustered environment, perform the following steps on each node of the installation instance.
  1. Stop Sterling B2B Integrator.
  2. Close all command prompt windows.
  3. If your database password is encrypted, decrypt the password.
  4. Close all command prompt windows.
  5. Update the license file to include the license for EBICS Server:
    1. Open a command prompt window.
    2. Run the following command:
      • For Microsoft Windows: install_dir\bin\AddLicenseSet.cmd install_dir\ properties\licensefiles\Fin_Serv_License.xml
      • For UNIX: install_dir\bin\AddLicenseSet.sh install_dir\ properties\licensefiles\Fin_Serv_License.xml
  6. Install the EBICS Server JAR file:
    1. Open a command prompt window.
    2. Run the following command:
      • For Microsoft Windows: install_dir\bin\InstallService.cmd install_dir\packages\u_ebics_version.jar
      • For UNIX: install_dir\bin\InstallService.sh install_dir\packages\u_ebics_version.jar
  7. If you decrypted the database password, re-encrypt the password.
  8. Start Sterling B2B Integrator.
