Downloading payload from a Global Mailbox with SFTP

By using the SFTP protocol, you can download a payload from a Global Mailbox.

Before you begin

Complete the procedure Accessing Global Mailbox by using SFTP.

About this task

To download a payload from a Global Mailbox with SFTP:

Procedure

  1. Initiate® an SFTP session as a Sterling B2B Integrator user, with a Global Mailbox virtual root and with permission to read from the Global Mailbox.
The SFTP session begins at the virtual root of the user that logs in.
  2. Download the message from the Global Mailbox by using the SFTP client commands or interface. For example, you might use the GETfilename command, depending on your client.

If the download is interrupted before it completed, you can download the file again. When you use the GET command on the same file, the download might start again from the beginning or resume, based on the SFTP client you are using.
