By reevaluating an event rule, you can confirm that an event rule filters all of the
appropriate events when changes are made to an event rule filter.
Before you begin
An event rule must exist for an application that is registered with Global Mailbox before an event rule can be
reevaluated.
About this task
When changes are made to the message name filter for an event rule, existing events might apply
to the changes that are made to the filter. Reevaluating the event rule ensures that events are
generated that match the changes that are made to the event rule.
To reevaluate an event rule:
Procedure
-
On the Mailbox Explorer page, click the Event Rules
tab.
If you are using the Event Explorer page, select an application.
-
Select an enabled event rule.
Restriction: You can reevaluate only one event rule at a time. Reevaluating multiple
event rules might reduce system performance.
-
Click Evaluate Now.
-
Click OK to confirm that you want to reevaluate the selected event
rule.
Tip: If an event rule is already being evaluated, the dialog The event rule
Example Event Rule Name is already being evaluated is displayed. Click
OK, and reevaluate the event rule when the current evaluation is
complete.
