Edit event rules
To edit, or delete, an existing event rule, click the hyperlink name of the event rule you want to edit in Mailbox Explorer or in Event Explorer.
From the General tab, you can test the message name filter and
change the event rule name by clicking Edit. If you want to
delete the event rule, click Delete.
Note: If you delete an event
rule, it cannot be recovered.
From the Mailboxes tab, you can view and edit the list of mailboxes that are subscribed to an event rule. To subscribe or unsubscribe mailboxes from an event rule, click Edit.
If an application has additional properties, you can view and edit these
properties in the Additional Properties tab. An application
always requires a User, and requires either a Business
Process or a Contract. You cannot select both a
Business Process and a Contract in an
event rule. Click Edit to change the following properties:
- A Business Process specifies the action that is taken when a message is received that matches the event rule. A single business process can be chosen for each event rule.
- A Contract is an agreement between trading partners that details how they conduct business transactions. A single contract can be chosen for each event rule.
- A User exists in an application. The User property field can also appear as Run as User. A single user can be chosen for each event rule.
