Enabling the logging trace specification for a component
You can use Systems Management in the AS4 Microservice user interface to enable or specify logging for a particular component.
About this task
Enabling logging for a specific component conserves systems resources because it limits the amount of log information that is returned.
Tip: You can also enable or specify logging for particular components in the command line interface with the member set_logging command. For more information about logging commands with the command line, see Logging commands and Member logging.
Restriction: If you change the trace specification in the command line after you configure the trace specification in the user interface, the Logging Trace Specifications section in the user interface does not update to reflect the latest logging trace specification. If you suspect that the trace specifications that are shown in Logging Trace Specifications are outdated, use the member show_logging command to view the latest logging settings by member.
Procedure
To enable the logging trace specification for a particular component:
- Log in to AS4 Microservice as a user with the permissions to manage system diagnostics.
- Click .
- On the System Diagnostics page, navigate to the Logging Trace Specifications section.
- Click Start Tracing under the name of the member to which the component you want to trace belongs.
