The Edit Constant dialog box is accessed from the Map Constants dialog box. The following list describes the properties on the Edit Constant dialog box:

ID
Constant identifier. The ID is typically a description of the field in which the constant is used. If you must refer to the constant in an extended rule, you must use the data from this field.
Type
Category of the constant. Valid values are:
  • Integer – Numeric constants that are a positive or negative natural (non-fraction) number or zero (0).
  • Real – Numeric constants that are a positive or negative integer with an explicit decimal point.
  • String – Alphanumeric constants.
Value
Constant expression. This is the value of the constant.
