Limiting Steps in a Process Model

Do not include excess steps or activities in a process model, such as loops and redundant calls to the database for information that is retained in the process data.

Keep the number of service and adapter configurations in the process to a minimum. Excess activities require more system resources. Fewer steps mean shorter processing times.
