Scenario 8 - Monitoring with Sterling B2B Integrator
Use the following procedure to monitor your business process with Sterling B2B Integrator:
About this task
Procedure
- From the Business Process menu, select Monitor > Advanced Search > Business Processes.
- In the Search Using Business Process Name pane, select
your business process in the Business Processes list and click Go!.
The Monitor page displays the following information:
Label Description Status Status of the business process—a green traffic light signals a successful execution ID The business process ID number Name The business process name State The current state of the business process If the Status indicates unsuccessful execution, refer to Troubleshooting.
- Click the ID number to see details about the business process
execution.
The Business Process Detail page displays the following information for each step:
Label Description Step The business process step number Service The Sterling B2B Integrator service name used in the step Status The status of the step Advanced Status Additional status information Started The time and date the step started Ended The time and date the step ended Status Report A link to the status report for the step Document A link to documents in use by the step Instance Data A link to process data for the step - The Status for the Connect:Direct Server Submit Service
is Success. This indicates only that the Sterling Connect:Direct process
was successfully submitted. It does not provide a completion status
for the process. You must use the Sterling Connect:Direct Statistics
to verify completion status for the process.
- The last step in the Business Process Detail is the Connect:Direct
Server End Session Service. The Status for this step indicates that
it successfully closes the Sterling Connect:Direct session.
Note: You can also monitor your business processes from the Business Processes menu by navigating to Monitor > Advanced Search > Documents or Monitor > Advanced Search > Communication Sessions.
