Getting started

There are certain key tasks required to get started using AS4 Microservice.

General navigation
AS4 Microservice uses navigation menus, buttons, links, and other controls to guide you through the user interface and help you complete tasks. The user interface also assists your navigation with contextual user assistance and, for complex tasks, links to more information in the product information center.

The following tables list the tasks that you need check after you install AS4 Microservice to start a transaction with a trading partner.
Getting started with communications
The communications component is the core component of AS4 Microservice. All other components in AS4 Microservice work towards supporting the communications component, which supports the AS4 message exchange protocol.
Getting started with monitoring
Monitoring for AS4 Microservice includes monitoring document exchanges between AS4 Microservice and trading partners, AS4 Microservice operating status, and monitoring the WebSphere MQ queues.
Getting started with APIs
The APIs that IBM®AS4 Microservice provides include user exit APIs that are based on OSGi Java™ API services and REST APIs for storage management, AS4 exchange profile information retrieval, and file transfers using HTTP or HTTPS as the transport protocol.
Getting started with user exits
User exits are optional and provide a call to an external program during the process flow of a message.
