Global Mailbox administrators can view
additional message properties from the Global Mailbox
management tool for each Global Mailbox message. A Global Mailbox administrator might want to view message
properties to troubleshoot a message transfer or to verify information about the processing
application.
Before you begin
To view message properties, you must have the View permission for the
mailbox that contains the message that you want to view. Global Mailbox administrators can view message properties
for all messages because they have all mailbox permissions.Additional properties for the message
processing application are generated for every message that is processed by Sterling B2B Integrator.
Restriction: Additional properties for the processing applications are available only
for the following list of protocols, services, and adapters with
myFileGateway:

About this task
To view additional message properties:
Procedure

From the Mailbox Explorer page, select a mailbox from the mailbox
navigation tree.

Select the Messages tab.

Select the message Name of the message that you want to
view.
You can view General, Extraction Criteria,
Additional Properties, and Events information in the
message properties dialog box.
- Optional:
Click the General tab.
The following list of general message properties is displayed for the message that you selected:
- Message Information
-
- Message Name
- The name of the message.
- Payload Size
- Defines the file size of the payload in the appropriate unit of bytes.
- Mailbox
- The name of the mailbox, which contains the message.
- Creator
- The creator of the message.
- Dates
-
- Creation Date
- The date and time that the message was created, displayed in your timezone.
- Last Modified
- The date and time that the message was most recently modified, displayed in your timezone.
- Last Extracted
- The date and time the message was most recently extracted, displayed in your timezone.
- Identifiers

- Message ID
- Identification for the message, which is assigned by the Global Mailbox system.
- Payload ID
- Identification for the message payload, which is assigned by the Global Mailbox system.
- Correlation ID
- An identifier that you can use to monitor files that are transferred through various systems in
your B2B environment.
- Optional:
Click the Extraction Criteria tab.
The extraction criteria is displayed that is associated with the message that you selected:
- Completed Extractions to Date
- The total number of message extractions.
- Extractions in Progress
- The total number of messages that are in the process of being extracted.
- Last Extracted Date
- The date of the most recent message extraction.
- Payload Available Date
- The date that the payload is last available to be extracted.
- Extraction Rule
- The type of extraction criteria for the message:
- Extract Until Deleted
- No extraction criteria is specified for the message. The message can be extracted until it is
deleted. There is no limit to the number of extractions for the message before the message is
deleted.
- Extraction Count
- A specified number of extractions that are allowed for a message.
- Extract Until Date
- A specified date. There is no limit to the number of extractions for the message before the
Extract Until Deleted date.
- Remaining Extractions
- The number of remaining extractions for a message.
Restriction: Remaining
Extractions is displayed only if the Extraction Count extraction
rule is selected.
- Extract Until Date
- A specified date. The message cannot be extracted after the date specified for
Extract Until Date.
Restriction: Extract Until
Date is displayed only if the Extract Until Date extraction rule
is selected.
- Optional:
Click the Application Properties tab.
The appropriate information is displayed for the processing application of the message
that you selected. The application properties that are available is determined by the protocol,
service, or adapter, which was used to transfer the message:
- Trading Partner
- The name of the producer trading partner.
- SessionID
- The Sterling B2B Integrator communication session
ID.
- TransferID
- The Sterling B2B Integrator file transfer ID for
the communication session during which the message file transfer occurred.
- WorkFlowID
- The Sterling B2B Integrator workflow ID.
- StepID
- The Sterling B2B Integrator step ID for the step
in the workflow that created the message.
- Secure
- Identifies whether the message is encrypted, or the message was sent by a protocol that uses
SSL. Valid values are True and False.
- ClientIP
- The Internet Protocol address that is used by the producer trading partner.
- Optional:
Click the Events tab.
A list of all events for the message is displayed. The following information is provided
for all events:
- Date
- The date that the event was generated.
- Status
- The processing status of the event.
- Processing data center
- The processing data center for the event.
