Missing messages

If you are missing messages that were sent by a trading partner, the message might not be completely replicated. You can verify that the message is sent with the Global Mailbox management tool.

Symptoms

Messages that are sent to you by a trading partner are not listed in your mailbox. After messages are received in Global Mailbox, they are not listed in a mailbox until the transfer is complete, including complete transfer of the payload for the message.

Causes

Depending on the system configuration, messages might be replicated to other data centers. Messages are not listed until replication is complete. This assures that messages that are listed can be retrieved.

Environment

This procedure applies to environments where there are multiple data centers and replication is enabled.

Diagnosing the problem

Ask your trading partner to verify that the messages are sent by searching for the messages in the Global Mailbox management tool and verifying the message status.

Resolving the problem

Wait for replication and transfer to complete. Look for the messages in your mailbox after waiting for a few minutes.
