Troubleshooting replication

For problems that are associated with replication, you can use troubleshooting information to help isolate and resolve those problems.

Replication errors
You can troubleshoot replication errors by using the replication logs.
Failed FASP file transfers
If your system is configured for monitoring by IBM® Control Center, notifications are sent when an attempted FASP file transfer replicating a file to a data center fails. The problem might be that a server is down or that there is a network interruption. Replication continues to be attempted until the problem is resolved.
Identifying lost files in failed data centers
If a data center fails, the files that are not replicated to the other data centers cannot be processed until the failed data center is restored. If the failed data center cannot be restored or if the restoration is delayed, the files that are lost cannot be restored. Administrators can use a script to identify such lost files.
