Configuring WebSphere MQ

You must configure highly available WebSphere® MQ servers to notify Sterling B2B Integrator about the events related to Global Mailbox.

WebSphere MQ and the Global Mailbox system
A highly available WebSphere MQ is required to notify Sterling B2B Integrator about the events related to Global Mailbox. For example, when a message is added to a Global Mailbox, an event is raised based on event rule configuration and put in the queue.
Configuring a multi-instance WebSphere MQ
In a multi-instance WebSphere MQ configuration, one instance is an active WebSphere MQ instance and the other is a standby instance. If the active instance fails, the standby instance starts working.
Configuring highly available WebSphere MQ for event processing
During file processing, one Sterling B2B Integrator node in the receiving data centre processes the file. Each data center has a separate MQ queue that receives events for files uploaded to that data center. All B2B Integrator nodes in that data center are listening on the queue. One node retrieves the event which triggers file processing.
Securing connections to WebSphere MQ
You can use SSL client authentication to secure connections to WebSphere MQ. Configuring SSL for WebSphere MQ is optional. To configure SSL, you must configure settings in Sterling B2B Integrator and run a script in Global Mailbox.
