Installation Manager

Use the IBM® Installation Manager to install or update AS4 Microservice on the Windows and Linux® operating systems.

The IBM Installation Manager guides you through the installation of AS4 Microservice by prompting for the location of the installation directory and configuration information for members, databases, and other items. After the Installation Manager completes running, finish the installation or update by using commands to start the application.

You also can use the Installation Manager to generate an XML configuration file that you can then use as a silent installation file.

IBM recommends that you install or update AS4 Microservice with the launchpad and not a stand-alone installation of the Installation Manager. The launchpad automatically configures the Installation Manager with the repository file that is required for the installation or update.

However, if you have access only to a console and not a Windows interface, you can install or update from a stand-alone installation of the Installation Manager. You need to manually configure the Installation Manager with a repository file.

You can use the following buttons on the Installation Manager:

Install
Use Install to install one node of AS4 Microservice.
Update
Use Update to upgrade AS4 Microservice with an interim fix or fix pack.
Modify
Use Modify to change the installation between a production and a nonproduction installation. Use this button to reverse the changes that you make with the Modify button.
Roll Back
Use Roll Back to change an installation to an earlier version of AS4 Microservice. Use Roll Back to reverse the changes that you make with the Update button.
Uninstall
Use Uninstall to uninstall AS4 Microservice and delete the installation directory.
