Sending information to IBM Software Support

To reduce the time that is required to resolve your problem, you can send trace and diagnostic information to IBM Software Support.

About this task

Enhanced Customer Data Repository (ECuRep) is a secure and fully supported data repository with problem determination tools and functions. It updates problem management records (PMR) and maintains full data lifecycle management.

This server-based solution is used to exchange data between IBM customers and IBM Software Support.

To submit diagnostic information to IBM Support:

Procedure

  1. Open a PMR.
  2. Collect the diagnostic data that you need. Diagnostic data helps reduce the time that it takes to resolve your PMR.
  3. Compress the files by using the .zip or .tar file format.
  4. Transfer the files to IBM.
    You can use one of the following methods to transfer the files to IBM:
    • ECuRep
    • Standard data upload methods: FTP, HTTP
    • Secure data upload methods: FTPS, SFTP, HTTPS
    • Email
