Updating a user group

A user group defines the roles and permissions that are accorded to individual AS4 Microservice users. Each AS4 Microservice user is incorporated in a user group that identifies their user authentication credentials and scope of authority. A Master Account Administrator can configure and maintain groups. After a user is added to a group, the user can view and access only information that is based on their associated privilege.

About this task

A AS4 Microservice Master Account administrator user profile has permission to create objects such as user groups in their domain. The system default groups cannot be altered; however, the administrator can create and update new groups to further refine the roles and permissions that are accorded to users in a group. Each group references a user category, which has a related set of default permissions and operations, and views that the user can access. A user can be a member of more than one group.
Note:

You can assign custom role definitions to a user group or groups.

Procedure

  1. Log in to AS4 Microservice with the system administrator or Master Account administrator access credentials.
  2. Select System Management > User Groups.
  3. On the User Groups collection page, select the group to be edited.
  4. On the detailed view page for the user group, click Add or Remove Roles.
  5. On the Select Roles page, select each role that you want to add to the group from the Available roles box, and move those roles to the Selected Roles box.
