Translation Overview

Sterling File Gateway supports translation. Translation includes support for several languages that can be used for the user interface and for notifications.

Languages

Sterling File Gateway supports:

  • Dutch (V5.2.4.2 or later)
  • Arabic (myFile Gateway UI only - V2.2.5, Interim Fix 6 or later)

User Interface Effects

You can view the Sterling File Gateway user interface in one of the ten supported languages in addition to English, and myFileGateway in 11 supported languages. The language used for the user interface is based on these settings:

For operator users, Sterling File Gateway and Partner and Community management pages are displayed in the preferred language of the client application.

Sterling B2B Integrator Preferred Language setting located in Sterling B2B Integrator Accounts > My Account

The Sterling B2B Integrator user interface, available to administrative users only, is displayed in the language specified by the Preferred Language setting for the account. The Preferred Language drop down has the nine supported languages in addition to English and the Use Client Application Settings option. If you use the Client Application Settings option, the user interface uses the language specified by the browser.

This sets the preferred language for Sterling B2B Integrator pages and for the Sterling File Gateway and EBICS event email notifications specified on the Sterling File Gateway Profile page.

Preferred Language defaults to English for newly created users and to Use client Application Settings for out-of-the-box users.
Notifications received via email Language for notifications located in Sterling File GatewayProfile > Notifications

Notifications for Sterling File Gateway and EBICS events are sent in the language specified by this setting. Sterling File Gateway users can modify this setting on the Profile > Notifications tab. Any modifications made to the Profile > Notifications language setting also modify the Preferred Language setting in Sterling B2B Integrator Accounts > My Account and vice versa. The language set in Sterling File Gateway with Profile > Notifications affects the Sterling B2B Integrator user interface and the language set with the Preferred Language in Sterling B2B Integrator affects the language used for notifications by email in Sterling File Gateway.

Additional Calendar Support (V2.2.5, Interim Fix 6 or later)

Calendars in Sterling File Gateway are displayed as Gregorian by default. In myFile Gateway, however, you can choose to display calendars as Hijiri by setting the following property in the filegateway.property.in file:
hijiriCalendarSupport=true

By default, this property is set to false.
