Sterling File Gateway consumer
mailbox messages can optionally be copied to a
Global Mailbox at the time of conversion.
Messages that are not extractable are not copied.
About this task
When a partner is converted to using Global Mailbox, you can select to copy the extractable
messages to the new mailbox. Messages in producer mailboxes cannot be copied.
To copy messages from a Sterling File Gateway
consumer mailbox to a
Global Mailbox:
Procedure

From the Sterling File Gateway admin menu, choose
to convert the mailbox to
Global Mailbox.

Within Partner Info, select Copy Messages to copy
messages from the Sterling File Gateway consumer
mailbox to the
Global Mailbox.
Tip: The confirmation of the copy request contains the name of the data center and the
workflow ID for the business process in
Sterling B2B Integrator. If there is a problem with the
messages copying to the
Global Mailbox, use this
information to identify the problem.
The business process in Sterling B2B Integrator that copies the messages is named
CopyTradMailboxMessagesToDistMbx. If the problem is due to connectivity to the Global Mailbox, then this business process is in Halted
status. After the problem is resolved, restart the halted business process to copy the remaining
traditional mailbox messages to dGlobal Mailbox.
Results
Extractable messages from the selected consumer mailbox are copied to the new
Global Mailbox. After they are copied, the messages are available for normal mailbox
activities.
