Known issues for data center recovery

Before you troubleshoot a data center outage, it is important to understand the known limitations of data center failure recovery.

Table 1. Known issues for data center failure recovery
Functionality Known Issue Workaround
Event processing Files that have not been replicated to the surviving data center cannot be processed during a failure. No workaround. The events appear in the Producers mailbox with a status of Pending Message Replication until the failed data center is recovered.
File routing Files are unsuccessfully deleted from the Producers mailbox after being routed to the Consumers mailbox. Manually delete the file from the Producers mailbox. These files have an event in a state of Completed Processing. Do not resend events for this file or any file where the event is in a state of Completed Processing, as it will result in duplicate routing.
evaluateRules command An event can be published twice for the same message when evaluateRules is invoked while all Global Mailbox servers are down or if it is called when the ECP queue is being consumed slowly. Global Mailbox servers must be running before you use the evaluateRules command.
