Updating visibility permissions

On the Advanced Search page, you can search across and filter exchange event details. After you filter the event details, if you have the appropriate role and privileges, you can view specific information, such as a message payload. To update visibility permissions, a user with Master Account Administrator permissions edits a user's profile and adds or removes the appropriate group permissions. Only Master Account Administrators can assign Master Account groups to users.

About this task

AS4 Microservice includes the following default groups. Each group includes a related set of default roles and privileges. These roles and privileges determine what views the user can access. A user can be a member of more than one group.

Master Account Administrators

Members of this group can create users and assign Master Account Administrator, Master Account User, and Master Account Payload groups to the users. Master Account Administrators can view messages but cannot view payloads.

Master Account Users

Members of this group can view messages but cannot view payloads. Members of this group cannot create users.

Master Account Payload

Members of this group can view the messages and payloads for each exchange. Members of this group cannot create users.

Procedure

  1. Log in to AS4 Microservice with the master account administrator access credentials.
  2. Select System Management > User Profiles.
  3. In the User Profiles page, select the user profile.
  4. In the detailed view page for the user profile, click Edit in the User Group Membership section.
  5. In User Group Membership area:
    • To add a group, in the Available Groups area, select the user group to add and click the button with the right-pointing arrow to add the group to Selected Groups area.
    • To remove a group, in the Selected Groups area, select the user group to remove and click the button with the left-pointing arrow to return the group to Available groups area.
  6. Click Save to save the user profile object and return to the User Profiles collection page.
