Creating a Global Control Number

You can create a global control number.

To create a global control number:

Procedure

  1. From the Administration menu, select Trading Partner > Document Envelopes > Control Numbers.
  2. Next to New Control Number, click Go!
  3. In the Number Data page, complete the following fields and click Next:
    Field
    Description
    Name
    Name of the control number. Required.
    Number Value
    Number value of the control number. Use a number greater than zero. Required.
    Sender ID
    Coded identifier of the company or division sending the control number. Valid value is 12 standard characters. Required.
    Receiver ID
    Coded identifier of the company or division receiving the control number. Valid value is 12 standard characters. Required.
  4. Click Finish to add the control number.
  5. Click Return to continue.
