Updating a digital certificate
You may need to update a digital certificate after you add it to AS4 Microservice to modify the validity period of the certificate (how long the certificate is valid before it expires). Or, you can update the Certificate Revocation List (CRL) location that is used to validate the certificate.
About this task
A certificate is generally valid for a year, and after that the signing publisher must renew or obtain a new certificate to establish identity. When you update digital certificate information, only one copy of a digital certificate can be in the system, regardless of the certificate alias with which it is associated. Additionally, certificates cannot be used by more than one trading partner.
Procedure
- Log in to AS4 Microservice with the necessary access credentials.
- Click .
- Select the type of certificate (CA certificate, Private/Public Key Pair certificate, or Trading Partner Public certificate) from the Digital Certificates section of the navigation menu.
- In the certificate collection page, click the certificate.
- In the detailed view page for the certificate, click Edit in the appropriate section.
- Update the necessary information and click Save to save the digital certificate and return to the certificate collection page.
