Generating a lost files report

Administrators can run the messageUtility script to identify the unprocessed files that are not replicated across data centers. A report is a comma-separated or tabbed file that contains information about the payload, mailbox, message, and event details. The generation of the report can take up to several minutes based on the number of data centers, volume of transactions, and outage duration.

About this task

The script is messageUtility and available in the <B2Bi_GM_install_path>/MailboxUtilities/admin/bin directory. The report is generated in the same directory by default. You can specify a different location for the report when you run the script.

Procedure

To run the script, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to the <B2Bi_GM_install_path>/MailboxUtilities/admin/bin directory.
  2. Run the messageUtility.sh file on Linux and messageUtility.bat file on Windows from the command prompt with appropriate parameters.
