Sterling File Gateway partner permissions in Global Mailbox

Permissions for Sterling File Gateway partners in Global Mailbox are dependent upon their permissions for traditional mailboxes in Sterling B2B Integrator.

The following table describes how permissions are mapped from Sterling B2B Integrator to Global Mailbox when a Sterling File Gateway partner is converted to use Global Mailbox:

DELETE

All of the following permissions:
  • DELETE_MAILBOX
  • DELETE_MESSAGE

EXECUTE

Application permission EXECUTE - Allows running business processes within the application.

READ

All of the following permissions:
  • VIEW_MAILBOX
  • EXTRACT_MESSAGE

WRITE

All of the following permissions:
  • CREATE_SUBMAILBOX
  • CREATE_MESSAGE
  • CHANGE_MESSAGE_PROPERTIES

VIEW

VIEW_MAILBOX - Allows seeing message metadata, but not the actual payload. The message can be listed, but not extracted or downloaded without further permissions.
Important: To create messages from Sterling B2B Integrator protocol adapters, the user must have all of the following permissions:
  • CREATE_MESSAGE
  • CHANGE_MESSAGE_PROPERTIES
