Administering Global Mailbox users within Sterling B2B Integrator
Global Mailbox is integrated with applications, such as Sterling B2B Integrator. Users from the applications are accessible from within Global Mailbox so that you can add permissions for Global Mailbox functions.
The task flow for setting up users from applications, such as Sterling B2B Integrator consists of the
following steps:
- Create and administer users in Sterling B2B Integrator.
- Call the User Lookup REST API from the Global Mailbox REST Services adapter to retrieve a list of users.
- Set permissions to global mailboxes for users in the Global Mailbox system. When you set the permissions, you select from the users who exist in Sterling B2B Integrator and then select the permissions to assign to them.
Groups in Sterling B2B Integrator cannot be applied to affect permissions for Global Mailbox.

Global Mailbox
mode perform authentication and
authorization by applying the following resources:- Authentication of users - the user store in Sterling B2B Integrator
- Authorization - the Global Mailbox client checks that the current user of the protocol session has permission before certain operations are performed.
