AS3 Trading Partner Contracts

Each time you create a partner using the AS3 wizard, you need to create a contract between that partner profile and the organization.

Note: Two AS3 contracts are automatically created when you use the AS3 Contract Wizard to create a trading partner contract.

One contract is used for initiating an AS3 message exchange and the other contract is used for receiving an AS3 message. These contract names are generated automatically and formatted as follows:

[local partner identity name] InitiateExchangeTo [remote partner identity name]
[local partner identity name] ReceivedFrom [remote partner identity name]
Note: The Production and Consumption profile appears if you view the created profiles from the Advanced Trading Partner menu options.

The Bulk Message Generation feature is part of the contract creation process. This feature allows you to enable the schedule of a business process to collect payloads from a specified folder, create an AS3 message, and send it to the intended trading partner. Sterling B2B Integrator supports initiating AS3 message exchanges in a scheduled manner. The option of searching a specified folder for any files present within it or matching a file pattern is configured when you create the AS3 contracts. A scheduled Business Process (BP) that includes the AS3 Build Service is created with the contract name and the parameters specified in the Bulk Message Generation option, when you create a trading partner contract between an organization and a partner.
