Setting Up the Sterling Connect:Enterprise UNIX Server Adapter

To establish Application and IBM® Sterling Connect:Enterprise® for UNIX for interoperability, follow this procedure:

Procedure

  1. Define an account (RSD–remote site definitions) to allow Application to connect into Sterling Connect:Enterprise for UNIX using Sterling Connect:Enterprise for UNIX. (This task is optional because the system is delivered with a predefined account called samp_bp.)
  2. Define a schedule (ACD–auto connect definitions) to indicate when to notify Application using Sterling Connect:Enterprise for UNIX. (This task is optional because the system is delivered with a predefined schedule called samp_bp.acd.)
  3. Configure the Sterling Connect:Enterprise UNIX Server Adapter using Application. (Though the preconfigured adapter, CEU Server Adapter BP, is delivered with the system, you must supply some additional parameters and enable the configuration.)
  4. Test connectivity between Application and Sterling Connect:Enterprise for UNIX. To do this:

    Enable the adapter

    Perform cmusession quick test.

  5. Run the Interoperability Verification Demonstration.
