Configuring the Business Document Receiver adapter

Configure the Business Document Receiver adapter as part of the configuration of the integration module between AS4 Microservice and Sterling B2B Integrator.

Before you begin

Before you begin this task, you need:
  1. The name of the queue that was created on WebSphere® MQ to exchange documents between Sterling B2B Integrator and AS4 Microservice.
  2. The adapter container that you created for the AS4 Microservice integration module adapters.
  3. This adapter cannot be grouped. Specify None for the group type.
  4. A MEIG Messaging Config adapter that is already configured in Sterling B2B Integrator.
  5. Information about the messaging provider endpoint:
    • The name of the endpoint that connects Sterling B2B Integrator to the WebSphere MQ queue. The name is generally the same name as the queue that was created in the WebSphere MQ queue.
    • The number of consumers for the endpoint.
    • The business process to start when a message is received.
  6. Message handling information:
    • Whether to produce the raw business document.
    • Whether to retrieve the payload and generate Document objects.
    • Whether to send visibility events.
    • Process execution mode.

About this task

Configure the Business Document Receiver adapter to listen for messages from AS4 Microservice and to start a specified business process in Sterling B2B Integrator when messages arrive.

You must be logged in to Sterling B2B Integrator with system administrator permissions to configure the adapter.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Sterling B2B Integrator user interface with system administrator permissions.
  2. From the Deployment menu, click Services > Configuration.
  3. On the Services Configuration page, in the New Service area, click Go!.
  4. On the Services Configuration page, type Business Document Receiver Adapter and click Next.
  5. In the Name field, enter a new descriptive name.
  6. In the Description field, enter a new description for the adapter.
  7. Choose the adapter container that you created for the integration module adapters.
  8. In the Select a group area, accept the default value of None for the adapter and click Next.
  9. From the Configuration Adapter Instance menu, choose the MEIG Messaging Config adapter to use and click Next.
  10. On the Endpoint page, click add.
    • In the Endpoint field, enter the name of the endpoint that the adapter listens on.
    • In the Number of endpoint consumers field, enter the number of consumers for the endpoint.
    • On the Business Process Config page, enter the Business Process to start when messages are received.
  11. Click Next
  12. On the Endpoint list page, click Next.
  13. On the Execution Mode Config page:
    • In the Produce Raw Business Document area, select true to produce the raw business document or select false to not produce the raw business document.
    • In the Send Visibility Events area, select true to send visibility events or select false to not send visibility events.
    • In the Generate Documents area, select true to generate Document objects or select false to not generate Document objects.
    • Accept the default for the Process Execution Mode.
  14. Click Next.
  15. On the Confirm page:
    1. Verify that the displayed settings are correct.
    2. Select Enable Service for Business Processes.
    3. Click Finish.
