Switching from Resources Persistent Volumes to Init Container option

You can switch the configuration from providing external resources using the resources persistent volumes to using the init container option

About this task

Perform the following steps:

  1. Build an init container bundled with the required resources, such as the db driver jar, JCE policy files and so on. For more information, see Building Custom Init Container Image.
Note: If you are installing or upgrading to Sterling B2B Integrator v6.1.2.1 or above, you don't need to configure and provide Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) policy file details.
  2. Push the init container to the private image registry accessible to the cluster.
  3. Configure .Values.resourcesInit.enabled to true and provide the image section with the init container image details.
  4. Set .Values.appResourcesPVC.enabled to false.
  5. Perform a helm upgrade with the updated values configuration.
  6. Discard the resources persistent volumes.
