You can view file activity for all the files that are routed to partners. You can search
for file activity to view the details about the events that occurred during the routing.
You can view the activity of the files only for which you are either the producer or the
consumer. The events that you can view for the file depend on whether you are the producer or the
consumer. These events are different from the events that an administrative user can view.
To search for file activity in myFileGateway 2.0, complete the
following steps.
- In myFileGateway 2.0, click File activity from
the IBM myFileGateway menu.
The File transfer page is displayed by default when you log in to the
myFileGateway 2.0 application.
- You can use the following filters to search for file activities. If you do not apply any
filters, all the file activities are listed.

Date range |
Enter the start and end date and time to filter the file activities in the selected
duration. |
Producer |
If you want to filter the file activities based on the files that are sent by a specific
producer, select that producer. |
Consumer |
If you want to filter the file activities based on the files that are sent to a specific
consumer, select that consumer. |
Protocol |
If you want to filter the file activities by the protocol that is used to transfer files,
select the protocols from the list. |
Status |
Select the status of the route by which you want to filter the file activities. |
Original file name |
Enter the complete or partial name of the file to filter the file activities by their
original file name. The original file name is the name that is assigned to the file while processing
it through myFileGateway or myFileGateway 2.0. This field
is case-sensitive. Only those files that contain the string that you entered are displayed in the
search.

- Click Apply to initiate the search based on the selected filter
criteria.
The search result displays the list of file activities based on the
applied filters. You can click the
Original file name hyperlink to view more
details about the following sections:
- File details and file events
- Route details and route events
- Delivery details and delivery events
- You can select the columns that you want to display in the File
transfer section.
