Global Mailbox limited fault tolerant pre-production test environment

You can set up a limited fault tolerant pre-production test environment of Global Mailbox that has most of the non-functional characteristics around replication and fault tolerance.

The limited fault tolerant test environment consists of two data centers, replication between the data centers and limited fault tolerance. To set up a limited fault tolerant test environment, install the following Global Mailbox components:
  1. Apache Cassandra and Apache ZooKeeper - one node in each data center.
  2. Replication server - one node in each data center.
  3. Non-clustered WebSphere® MQ in each data center.
  4. Sterling B2B Integrator database in each data center.
  5. Sterling B2B Integrator and Global Mailbox - one node in each data center.
Shared storage is not required in the limited fault tolerant test environment. Replication issues can be identified and resolved before moving changes to production. Only entire data center failures can be tested. Stopping any component in a data center results in that data center going down since there is no component redundancy within the data center.

The limited fault tolerant test environment does not provide any fault tolerance within a data center because only one Cassandra node and one Sterling B2B Integrator node in each data center.

The following diagram illustrates the Global Mailbox limited fault tolerant test environment:
