How to write a business process to call the mailbox services on Global Mailbox

A Sterling B2B Integrator system administrator is trying to understand how to write a business process in Sterling B2B Integrator that calls mailbox services to execute on Global Mailbox.

Ensure that the following requirements are met:

Get an understanding of how to apply mailbox services in a business process in Sterling B2B Integrator so that the services operate on Global Mailbox.

To designate that a mailbox service operates in Global Mailbox, complete the following steps:

  1. Configure a business process in Sterling B2B Integrator.
  2. Configure and enable the Global Mailbox Event Rule adapter in Sterling B2B Integrator.
  3. Create an event rule in the Global Mailbox administrator user interface. When configuring the event rule, select the business process that you have configured in Sterling B2B Integrator.
    When the Global Mailbox Event Rule launches the business process, the UseGlobalMailbox parameter is set (in the related mailbox service) to Yes by the adapter.
  4. Alternatively, you can set the UseGlobalMailbox parameter in the BPML as an input parameter to the mailbox service.
    Important: If a business process is called by another business process, each one must set the UseGlobalMailbox parameter to match the message ID to ensure correct execution.
