License information

A separate license is required for each IBM® Sterling B2B Integrator feature that you purchased. During installation, you must choose the license files according to what you purchased. Product licenses do not require an activation key.

IBM assumes customers will only install and use the products they purchased. IBM reserves the right to inspect installs for compliance at any time.

How licensing works

Licensing in v6.0 and later releases works slightly differently from the previous versions of Sterling B2B Integrator.

If you are installing by using IIM, the jar files for all the components are copied to your installation even if you have not selected that component for installation. The Certified Container image for Sterling B2B Integrator also contains all the components. If you are not installing a particular component, the license for the component is not installed and the UI is not available.

During installation, the you can install the following components along with Sterling B2B Integrator:

IBM Sterling File Gateway
FIPS Module
AS2 Edition Module
Financial Services Module
EBICS Banking Server Module
B2B Advanced Communications Integration Module
SPE Integration Module

Note: Sterling B2B Integrator APIs are available for use when you install Sterling B2B Integrator. Sterling File Gateway APIs are available for use only if you install Sterling File Gateway.

Installing using IIM

If you are installing Sterling B2B Integrator by using IIM, select the components that you want to install during the installation process.

Installing using Certified Container

If you are installing Sterling B2B Integrator using Certified Container, you must select the components that you want to install by adding the relevant property in the values.yaml file. For more information, see Configuring the Certified Container.
